Glad to hear the 350 is a good swap. I plan to keep the original drivetrain, but swap it out for a 350/SM465/205 combo from a Chevy. I have had tom woods build jeep driveshafts. I am hoping to modify the driveshafts from the donor truck, not sure what to do about mating to the Timken axles.
I need a steering box, mine is a Ross part number T262986. I have read that this box was used in M2 halftracks and is smaller than the TA series used in the M3 halftracks.
i would appreciate any leads on getting a good box.
Thanks for the info. I did not attend the auction. I am looking for parts and weighing options. I just spoke to Gary and he sounds like he has the axle and steering parts I would need. The rear armor and doors are easy to replicate.

It looks decent, because the armor and rims are not heavily rusted. I have a good title. It is complete under the hood, as far as I can tell, but there is a lot of rust, for instance the spark plugs rusted off. The wires are attached to the top of the plugs and the ceramic insulator is there...
I just got a scout car project. Not sure what I am going to do with it. Pretty far gone to restore. Maybe real cool yard art.
