    The trails there can go from mild to somewhat extreme, so yes the buddy system helps out. I got stuck in a small ditch, basically because my pintle high centered me in my CUCV, luckily I had a couple of deuces with me to bail me out Nice area, and well traveled, so even if you were to get stuck...

    I don't think you have to but also check to make sure that you don't need a off-road permit. I think this area is exempt from that but double check to be sure before going out there.

    Truckhaven out in Ocotillo is a good place. My friend Leo has taken his out there and other places. Not sure if he still has his HMMWV though.
