    Good idea with cutting the wrench. I bought one for my unit off ebay and when I used it I thought to myself.. Hmm.. Really? It does the job but at 1/10 a turn at the time. I may shorten it like you did.

    That speaker wire may hold up to heat fine but I would be concerned about the dielectric properties of the insulation on it. I mean yeah, it is probably fine but personally I would feel more comfortable with something like 1000v MTW in there if it was my set.

    Nice setup. And nice touch painting those barrels tan to match! Wish I had that much fuel storage but I would be afraid it would not rotate often enough. Even with my CUCV that only gets 10MPG. I should probably try out my "super siphon" I got for Christmas and suck a few gallons out of the day...

    Here is the radiator cap for that unit.. Stant 10228 Radiator Cap - 7 PSI I had to order off amazon. My local parts store did not have anything like that.

    Lets not forget.. The gauge may be broken. If you do not have one already I would suggest picking up a halfway decent multimeter to be able to troubleshoot and verify the operating conditions of the unit. You want to be able to verify that the unit is putting out 60Hz and whatever voltage you...
