when i registered mine they took abt 10-15 mins. walked in with all my papers in order walked out with tags. they seemed more concerned abt the chain of ownership than anything else. -

I think it's quite possible this whole off road only thing is to appease am general in some way. I don't think the dla or the state really care what one does with it. -

seems like the makers of the most american vehicle one can get arnt very friendly or fond of their own people owning and operating the vehicle. for example humvee c series is only available to individuals in hostile or questionable nations. Secret squirrel dealings if you ask me. But who cares...
