    when i registered mine they took abt 10-15 mins. walked in with all my papers in order walked out with tags. they seemed more concerned abt the chain of ownership than anything else.

    I think it's quite possible this whole off road only thing is to appease am general in some way. I don't think the dla or the state really care what one does with it.

    seems like the makers of the most american vehicle one can get arnt very friendly or fond of their own people owning and operating the vehicle. for example humvee c series is only available to individuals in hostile or questionable nations. Secret squirrel dealings if you ask me. But who cares...
