I tried to buy but got the message instead that the part was discontinued and/or backordered with no ETA.
I knew that 2 weeks ago when someone else posted about them being available. They cried foul because someone had one posted for $61. delivered to the front door. Always have guys like...
I bought boxed kits for the u joints on both trucks and blazers. I bought 2 sets of each and they are genuine dana/spicer. Less then $40. for all 4 sets. That was strap and bolts and u bolt lock washers and nuts. By the time I bought them I had found used ones I had stashed. This is the same...
Looks great. It is great that the u joint is tight in the yoke and you have no slop. Regardless of how the slop got there it was there and you fixed it. Great job. I hope it runs smooth now. You put a lot of time and money into that drive line. Have a great day and enjoy the CUCV.
M1009 stock rear is 1 1/4" pinion yoke nut. Use an electric/air impact socket. Mark the socket hit the trigger slowly and count the revolutions to remove. Put the nut back on the same way and you will be good. NOT 100% perfect. But good enough. It has worked for me. If you go wild tightening the...
That is not an over flow vent. It is just a vent/breather to allow excess gasses/pressure to vent as the fluids/oil gets hot and expands. I don't think the leaking rear seal was the designed intent for the breather on the transfer case. I feel if it gets to that point of leaking it is stressing...
I may have confused the issue. The seal is in the front of the transfer case. I just wanted to clear that up. I know I had several that were always taking transmission fluid and then when I serviced the transfer case I seen that it was overly full. I sent it and had the repairs made at the...
I think the rear seal of the transmission output shaft is leaking and needs replaced. This allows transmission fluid from the transmission to leak back into the transfer case and then it leaks out the over flow. Because unless they filled the transfer case from the overflow. How would it get any...
I just had a driveshaft rebuilt this week for Terminus M1009. That was both U joints balanced and all $169.70. That sort of takes the guess work out of it. I heard the squeaking Saturday at RC and was surprised to find both U joints bad. The yoke I replaced with a Yukon yoke from Autozone. I...
30 MM. I hope that helps. And the rear drive shaft should not slide in the straps at the yoke. Worst case scenario. You may need a new yoke and new straps. Good Luck. I bought a few yokes from Yukon Gear.
If you are leaking gear oil out of the transfer case. You have serious issues. The transfer case and transmission have ATF in them. Or they are supposed to have ATF in them. Also the rear of the transmission has a seal in it to prevent the ATF from leaking back from the transmission into the...
