    The FMTV was designed to use the M66 turret as a direct drop-in or a HMMWV/MRAP turret (which is a bit smaller) with an adapter kit. The M66's are Vietnam era, heavier, stiffer bearing, and don't have a door that closes and seals. There is a canvas cover for them, but they still leak pretty bad...

    Just installed a set of NIB MRAP seats into the M1083. They sit too high with the MRAP mounting bracket, but with that bracket removed and a 1/4" adapter plate they work really well. The only real downside is they are pretty heavy (and a pain to get into the cab) with the under seat armor. I...
