Depends on your local market. For what they are, I feel $750 is a steal personally (have you priced out NEW HMMV tires? Over $600/ea!). You might want to offer the tires for sale to any local hummer owners too, as that might prove to be as equally lucrative.
All depends what you want to do... some folks use the flap, but put a quick release pin in place while its running so the actual flap is only installed when not running. Best of both worlds. I am sure it depends too on how close to your dwelling you install.
Oh, and if it were me, and the flap was gone... I would just get a black iron coupler, and a short BI rise pipe, and put a tractor flap on it... and never worry about it again.
Yes, always watch wire interference with any other mechanical component. I had an 802A burn down on me one day, because a wire had shorted itself out on the throttle cable. Not a pretty sight... thankful I had properly grounded the set, and that I had a large fire extinguisher near by.
