    Joe is correct about the best source; many old tractors use GL1 in their trans. Hey Richard, I am curious, do you have any conerns about the additives having a negative effect on the bronze in the gearbox? I would like to use a syn. oil if it won't hurt the bronze parts.

    Think you may have a problem. You are to use GL1 in the tranny which is basically pure mineral oil. Anything else has additives which can damage the gears.. Here is a link to my source for fluids, etc: http://hometown.aol.com/spuprr/upkeep.html How long have you had the 90wt. in the trans?
