    An oil test is the only way to go. An initial assessment could be made with the oil pan removed and checking to see if the metal is 'shavings' type soft or hard shrapnel remnants. 'Soft' Alloy? could come from rod bearings and or spacers. Hard is serious, Liners?. Rport when you have the test...
