    I also have the reinforcing plate on the back. I probably could of used the belt position in front of the compressor by tucking the pump in closer. If there ever does become a problem it still can be done.

    I have full steering same as I did before the conversion. Will turn from stop to stop. I have had no hard spots on the wheel due to the belt slipping. There have also been no squeaking. The picture you see here is the first way I had the pump. But when I went to put the fender on it hit the pulley.

    My truck has a after market aluminum radiator. Has no fan shroud However the pump and pulley are back even with the air compressor. See the pictures in the original post.

    The donor truck was a 84 chevy C60 dump truck. Early to mid 80's trucks had them. Theres a place on line I think was $350 for a rebuilt box
