    24 volt to ground? Am I reading this right?

    No reason you couldn't add a 48 volt and a 96 volt system on the beast, in the same way. You could even run some kind of AC generator on it and use the frame as your neutral. No problem. Multiple voltages on a circuit is done all the time.
