    Data plate unreadable

    Here is what the amg data plates look like, from 1985 to now. Notice it has screws holding it on. The screws were only used on armor trucks. Also why it is angled. http://www.surfacezero.com/g503/data/500/medium/fleetw2011a_0981.JPG

    Not gp but when reset. Like when a data plate has 2010 on it but it really from the 90’s. The black data plates with white characters are not from amg. Amg didnt put scannable codes on data plates. Yes. Almost all the trucks i look at have had data plate replaced.

    Look for a1 trucks with gvwr of 12k or higher and the data plate at an angle. Most of the gp data plates arent amg issue. I will post a couple pics when my pc is back in action.

    AMG used screws to hold in data plate, on newer armored trucks with the plate at an angle.

    At nighttime, or in dark area, hold a flashlight on it from the side. The letters and numbers should be visible.
