    Fan blade cracking

    I agree. I’ve been talking to wheelspinner. I’m Just curious as to what makes these crack. I would like to believe that the cause was discovered and corrected long ago. We had a similar issue with M1A1 road wheel hub sight glasses. Put virtually every tank on the deadline report!

    My fan blade has a crack in it. My gut tells me either the design was bad, the material was flawed, manufacturing process was flawed, or something struck it. I don’t see any witness marks elsewhere to suggest it was struck or impacted. Anyone have good intel on cracking fan blades?
