That's a great point, especially considering the vibration in a Deuce. Seems like there's not anything to prevent them from backing off. Mine are just regular nuts. Granted, they didn't move before, but now that I cleaned up the threads they aren't as tight as they used to be.
That's good info, didn't think about bolts actually shearing. I hadn't planned to crank them down... Guess I'll set them back like they were when I took them off.
I'm mounting the bed back on the deuce. I found torque specs for the hard mount bed bolts on a chart here in the forums, but didn't find any info for the front bolts with the springs. When I took them off, I measured the springs and they were compressed to about 6 inches in length. Does anyone...
