    Glad you got it going :giggle: , I have read before someone mentioning the size difference, can't remember where. Curious what you used to remove the excess material? What was the part number of the regulator you used?

    IIRC the 4 terminal regulator has instructions on how to connect to a 3 wire alt, the wires are tagged so that should not be an issue, ask the dealer you are purchasing it from if it will work.
