    Before I knew any better, I bought a correctly marked washer pump.. 23 months later, the pump rotted out inside and is now shorting to ground, and destroyed the switch on the washer motor. (So THIS TIME, I went to one of the well know sellers of 'real' goods and bought a new one. Hopefully...

    Ya connectors like this melting means you have a short somewhere, possible intermittent, but definitely shouldn’t have connector problems.
