    while you have that cover off, its a great time to look at the bolts on the torque converter, make sure they are tight to spec.

    1: get it as close as you can +/- 10ft lbs aint gonna make it fly off. 2: Can be re-used as long as its not buggered up, if the head is rounded off at all replace it. 3: Its just removing a few bolts and dropping the cover (no fluid will come out), sometimes the transmission cooler...

    There is a crossover, it runs from the regular drivers side manifold, over to the banks manifold on the passenger side. look at my photo album in my sig.
