The tires are way worse in person. Denver FEMA was who bought it from the military originally back in the day. Odometer reads less than a thousand miles since FEMA titled it. I really want to do it back the way it was, but the more I look at things, the wife's idea is kind of cool too...

The more I think about it Bob the more I think i'm going to do it back as a tractor. If I need a bed, it gives me an excuse to buy another one. that's what the back lot at work is for.

I really found the whole 2 rear driveshaft setup to be a bit odd. Took a minute to get used to when I started looking at it. With a couple of batteried in it and a snort of gas it started right up. Wife says it would look great with a couple of feet added onto the back of the cab so that we...

Here are some of the pics I took today. Did I mention that I suck as a camera guy? Fiberglass top is in good condition. Rust is negligible to nonexistent

Guess what I bought today? It will be a few weeks before I get it home. It is in desperate need of a few tires before it can make the trip in my opinion. I'm going to have to see if I can find someone here that can tow it down for me after I get some tires on it. Overall pretty decent, but...

The tranny used regular motor oil originally? That's interesting. Going to have to get the TM downloaded this afternoon. I was hoping the filter was something that could be had locally, but if it's an order item I guess i'll wait until I get the truck home and then order a handful so I have...

RE: water pump Thanks Lee. I spent a good portion of the morning searching this site and the rest of the web seeing what I could learn. I still have a couple of pressing questions though, and i'll post them here versus a new thread as there are already some knowledgeable people on this rig...

Only thing I can't seem to find laying around online is the water pump. I would like to replace it and the belts before driving it down (made a decision). I may just have to see if someone in the Denver area can tow it down for me. Anyone in Denver with a deuce and a tow bar?

OK, just got off the phone with the guy. It does start and run. Small fuel issue that sounds like it needs the fuel tank and pump cleaned up. Water pump needs a rebuild(?) as it leaks out the bottom. If it's still there on Monday i'm planning on buying it if he can keep it on his placde for...

cucv was the wife's purchase. She wanted it for a winter rig and play toy. Far be it from me to mention selling her toy to buy me a new one. I could get castrated suggesting that one.

Which axles does that thing come with? Is it just me or is it set up with a hitch on the back? I am seriously interested, but I have to justify it to myself first. The number is a CO number, so he is probably on the border to Cheyenne.. I hate when things like this pop up. If only I hadn't...
