:ditto: As Bjorn said, use the CB mic. It would be neat if you could somehow use the headset boom mic for transmitting on the CB. The one thing I did notice with the CB tied into the Vic-1 was that it wasn't very loud. Don't know if that's a common issue. Maybe the CB needs an amp fat lady sings ?

I use a vic-1 also. Same components as Bjorn listed. But, I picked up all new pieces and still had trouble. The new, sealed in plastic am-1780 amp was missing an internal component right from the factory. aua It took quite a while to diagnose. I lost some hair over that one.... I think mine...
