Sorry guys the PM got the axe, I should have saved it. But all of the same info can be found in the TM's. Just make sure you take your time because there are some small parts and the angles on the control rod need to be maintained. Btw you will have to stand on your head while doing it. :-D
Yes....Look at the picture in post 10. This control rod should move VERY freely with little or no resistance. I cleaned mine without removing the head so it saved alot of work. I guess the instructions Warthog gave me were in a PM. I'll go back and see if they are still there.
Guys the M35a2c I picked up from WR almost a year ago had the same mystery brown crude. I ended up having it transported back to Birmingham instead of the intended easy drive. I did preview the truck,but by the time I went to pick it up the crude had set up like tar. Ended up pulling the tank...
Ya'll were right, I took off the cover plate on the fuel shut off and the linkage moves but you have to put some muscle behind. So I'm sure the fuel control rod must be gummed up to. I'm gonna study up tonight on the TM's .
Yes Sir I did change all three filters and you were right they all were varnished up inside. I went back this morning and blew out the lines I think they were ok but at least now I'm getting good clean fuel to the top. seems to have good pressure. I moving on now to the IP will let you know what...
Yes it goes almost to the red line without hitting the pedal. when the idle drops the throttle has no effect almost like its unhooked (but its not). I changed all three filters and put clean fuel in the tank....
Thanks for the reply. No I didn't blow the lines out but after I cleaned the screen on the tank pump the fuel shoots out of the bleed valves. Think I still need to blow the lines?
