The 14.5r20's are 44x14" tires and the 395/85r20's are 48x15" if I am not mistaken. Yes, I flipped the hubs. If you try to turn the rims around after you flip hubs they stick out like 2 feet. If you don't flip the hubs you can turn the wheels around and they look pretty good, but they will...

Here is the winch. Sorry about the poor quality cellphone pics, dog ate camera. :-x Guess this winch is probably toast. I thought I could have it welded up, but with all of the damage, I am not sure it would be worth it. What do you guys think? You can see the Aluminum shear pin, it will...

I was trying to think of something to make out of the outer part so I could keep it around for a trophy, but so far nothing. What would you do with it?

Bobbed truck snapped an axle when we were pulling it out. I guess they don't really like to try and spin a 48" tire that is buried in sand. Strange that it is such a clean break, or is it normal for them to just snap clean like that?

Nah, they are not that bad. If you want to go anywhere fun, you need them. Pick up some 16.00's sometime if you want a heavy tire.

Down by Purcell on the Canadian River. You pay a guy ten bucks and he lets you roam around all day. He makes trails with his dozer. Great time.

I used 14.00 tubes, but I have heard you can use 12.00's, and they are like half the price.

The gasser did well also, actually was the only truck that didn't get stuck.... until... The gasser would not make it back up the bank and the rear quickly sank in the sand. The 46" rear tires were COMPLETELY submerged in the sand. Then I broke my winch! It actually broke the case, but it...

Well it was a great day. The trucks really surprised me. The A2 especially. It will make it through just about anything. The singled big tires REALLY make a difference. Both of the M35's made it through this hole a few times but the Jeep with 44" Swampers got stuck. If it had boggers on...

We had some ice and snow last week, but it was 65 degrees on Saturday so we decided to take a couple trucks to the river. One is a multifuel w/winch air lock transfer case and the bobbed truck is a Reo gasser with sprag. They both have 395/85r20 tires on stock rims (save it ). I...
