Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

I cannot wait to get the Duke out on more aggressive terrain.

Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

I have a few ideas of how to make a mount that would be much better than I what I have presently.

Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

I've always played on taking it easy on the Duke... I also plan on increasing the Duke's raw power and traction too... Air-Lockers all around and newer DT-466 with more power coupled to transmission will make this truck a brute.

You are absolutely correct about the problems with off-road driving. The fact is no matter how "lightly one attempts to tread" off-road the fact remains substantial damage to the environment will occur. The M35 even when driven very carefully will do the same amount of damage as several smaller...

Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

Well this video was taken on my property. Off-road driving of any sort is going to cause damage. The bigger the vehicle the greater the damage it will produce. This entire concept of "treading lightly" is great but in most cases unrealistic in many respects. You get a group of jeeps or pickups...

Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

That was the one saving grace this mud wasn't as sticky as it can be. It's sticky but not that so sticky that when you step in it that it wants to consume your legs and shoes. But yeah that is a good tip. And well you always have to be careful of over-reving the engine. I was barely at 2200rpm...

Well mapquest says I'm about 2hrs by normal car so what 3-4hrs by M35A2 from your place. Thanks for the offer.

Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

I would never do this sort of stuff on someone else's property, this is my property. If want to drive the truck around on it in the back and make big hole I can. You're right if this was some one else's property that would have been uncool of me to do. But in this case all I need to do is...

So how deep was the mud for this guy to get stuck in?

Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

Yeah, that is pretty decent actually, for the setup. I think I need to get my camera mounted to my dashboard for a drive around my hometown. I'll show the world what smalltown upstate New York looks like from the Duke. The mud is about 18 to 24 inches deep on the way out of the pit. I need...

I need to rig up some real obstacles. stuff like this.

most of the time the truck when I drive off road is in low-range and in 1-3 gears. Also I almost always have the truck with the front axle engaged. I usually drive it rather carefully where ever I go. thanks for the advice.

Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

Thanks, I'm going to do the next video with rock walls and different area. Also there are alot of old logging roads I want to try out. Plus some new logging roads too...

Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

Yeah unfortunately it is the same mud pit over and over again. I need to get a new one to tame. However, I think next video will do more with rocks. I have bunch of rock walls in various states of decay that make for fun obstacles to drive over.

Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

I think my next one will be with less mud and more rock obstacles!

Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

It was fun. So what sort of military vehicle are you looking to purchase?
  17. Rolling_Eudaimonia

Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

I was worried that I might be assembling a series of vehicles to pull myself out. But I had some luck I was getting better grip on the left hand side of the pit as I was coming out so Hugged it and kept the RPM's up to maintain traction on the right side as much as possible until I got into...

Perhaps, I just won't be happy until I get it really stuck?

I still think it needs the air-lockers on all three axles and more hp. But yeah it is was blast getting it out the mud. I should really reduce the tire pressure but I'm just too lazy to refill ten tires back up to 50psi manually when I want to take him out on the road. I mean that is alot of...

I just stuck a tripod on the floor of the truck and tried to drive as slowly and carefully as possible.
