    wastegates / blow-off-valves

    The bottom ring on the LDS piston puzzles the heck out of me! It is beneath the oil ring, which has slots that go into the inside of the piston (if it is like any other oil ring groove I have seen), so it will do nothing for compression. What is it for? -Chuck
