Thanks greenjeepster, I will take a look and see if there is enough room in the oil cooler to put the heater... The element is about 3 1/2 inches long.

I picked up a 1000 watt heater today and looked at the directions inside. It showed a couple of engines and in both cases it referenced locating the heater in the oil cooler housing (drilling and tapping if necessary). I haven't looked to see if there is a plug large enough there, but has...
