Travis, I'm not saying you're wrong but all the info I could find says 200-300deg difference. I did find some info that said it could get as much as 500deg under light loads but that's not where you're going to have to worry about EGT anyway. These figures are from the "top end" gauge...
I've been debating where to put my probe. I was first set to pull the turbo and drill the manifold but after reading alot on this subject I may go post-turbo.
Any of the major gauge manufacturers and diesel engine sites say it's ok to go post-turbo as long as you add 200-300deg. Most trucks...
Tom, A fellow member hooked me up with this for running a 12v gauge on 24v +12V Fixed-Voltage Regulator 7812 - RadioShack.com .
While I haven't installed it yet it should work. It will take 24v in and put out a constant 12v for any loads less than 1amp.
