here is an attempt at body work. just practicing.
so here is attempt #2.
attempt #1 resulted in a epic fail. but I learned and todays attempt went much smoother.
woke up early stopped off at mr.metal. no small 18guage offcuts to give me so they handed me a large piece for free (enough to start...

my uncles is sharing the same interest for this jeep so I will most likely get it going again.
I have a mig welder and getting a stick soon.
unfortunately I dont plan on doing a 100% resto but rather to get all the rust out and get it back onto the road.
biggest issue right now is still the...
does it make that much of a difference if I dont have any data tags. does that get rid of most of the leftys value?
the guy I got this off of doesnt have any of that stuff.
tackling the rad and grille.
well that was eventful
thinking I would just walk out with my socket set and some wrenches and spin everything loose... boy was I wrong!
everything was nicely coated in rust, spray on some liquid wrench and do something else for a hour and a half.

Today my dad and the mechanic neighbor talked all day about the CJ2A.

I have an opportunity to pickup a M38 frame axles transmission for 500$ sandblasted and painted altho rust is starting.
would the M38 frame work for the CJ2A set up? mounting of everything like body and engine?
hi 91W350
thank you! so far allot of people are trying to get me to restore. my neighbor that helped me retrieve it was surprised at its condition, he owned one plenty of years ago but got rid of it because at that time parts were harder to find and he was always looking in the classifieds in...
hi Maddawg I just rolled it off the trailer right now onto my driveway!

im just so torn it doesnt have a title/ownership!
definatly wont be a rebuild if I get it.
need something that legally runs on the road to rebuild
alright so I have a chance at what I think is the civi verson of the m38.
since it has no ownership I am thinking of making it into a bush runner.
how hard is it to get the engine going?
I would just need to make sure the clutch/gas/break pedals work?
just debating wether to get this or not.
