My M920 heat isnt working properly, in that the fan works fine but the air is not warm. I drove it 50 miles this weekend, but there was no difference in the duct temperature the entire time.
Where should I start looking first?
Here is where the light is, look for the black arrow just right of the rpm needle. These units are rated with a top speed of 55 mph I believe, my light starts flickering at 50. I suppose I will have to drive it and see at what speed the transmission deactivates.
The small red light on the tachometer/speedometer gauge (near the top) came on around 50 mph and 1900 RPM, was flickering, clearly I wasnt pushing her too hard, want to make sure the light isnt a problem because she sure settled down in 16th at this speed and it felt like she could do much more...
When shifting into 16th gear, at highway cruising speeds, a red light flickered in the top of the dash gauge, the one for speed and engine speed. What does the light indicate? I was about 2000 RPM.
Here are two youtubes that will be helpful with regard to how to shift an M920 or M916.

Key is to let off the fuel a bit when shifting. Start off in 6th gear with no load, you can shift two gears at a time...

thanks. I am going to have a ten ton tag-along trailer made that has 24 volt lighting (also 24 volt ABS brakes), as well as NATO style plug. Will use this to pull my halftrack.
I have owned an M818 for a couple of years but these just don't have any guts so I upgraded by purchasing a M920 in good condition from C&C Equip in Indiana. Vehicle is a good runner, 26k miles, new paint job and tires are 90%. I have scoured the govt manual but want to learn some tricks about...
