I bought a gasket kit for the new trans from E-bay for 15 bucks. I used RTV for the seal between the trans bell housing and the engine bell housing. It's not completely nessacary but it's a good Idea if your going to be doing any fording.

Not sure what the difference is, but I replaced my 3053 with a 3053A.
