    Not on OD but with conventional paint both acrylic enamel and laquer. If you have to do it early a bit of liquid soap works well as a lubricant in addition to the water. Rinse well when done, and repaint with a wetter coat of paint. I think you'll wind up with a semi-gloss if you don't paint...
