I did end up using the original cross member. I wasn't able to use the 20K fairlead because it stuck out too far. Nor was I able to keep the pintle hook as it is where I mounted the fairlead.
I will post a couple of pictures when I find my camera.
I got the PTO together with the right gears and the shaft hooked up. Now I need to figure out some linkage so I can use the PTO in/out lever in the cab.
I probably will use the rear cross member , just haven't got that far along yet. The two angle braces however won't fit because the winch is in the way. I can't slide the winch any further forward because of the spring perches. This whole rear winch thing started with trying to get the weight...
No, I didn't get the mount plates with the winch. I used the front bumper extensions. I cut them in half, flipped them around, and slid them into the frame making it 'boxed'

The dog you have pictured is the one I have on my t case. It's mate however, INSIDE the PTO, is too long by about an inch. I can modify this one but would prefer finding one an inch shorter.

I thought I would put a PTO winch off of a 5 ton on the rear of my Bobber. I bought a winch and mounted it between the frame rails behind the rear spring perches. Bought a transfercase PTO and made a propeller shaft. The PTO I bought had clutch dogs with a huge ramp on one side and a square...
