Hey S&*% needed to be moved!
Too bad those pesky A10's and KC135's were so hard to photograph.
We were treated to plenty of training maneuvers during the show.
Well it rained overnight Friday.
Here's a pic of Saturday's weather that kept some from coming out to play.
Still over 20 trucks this morning. Including my M884 with a fuel system ailment
Everyone enjoyed Steve's MAPP gas 50 cal on his M151. I especially liked the one veteran Marine...
Man that's a bummer on the hub issue, better to fall back and regroup though.
Glad you made it back safe.
We had 24 powered vehicles and 8 or 9 trailers here for Friday. Yours would have made 25.
Just looked at the weather, looks pretty good mid to high 80's and a slight chance of an afternoon...
Of all the possibilities........................I have to answer that question with..... an MT500. Other than that, just use your imagination.
I'm heading over to the site now.
Yes M-55 & M-65 has diesel and can handle multiple semis. Watch which pumps you pull up to, as some are for the OTR guys only.
Also just South of Whittemore on M-65 is a truck stop.
Running the M36A2 over to the show shortly.................
How to get there,
Short directions are US 23 to F41 to the show.
From the south
I-75 / US -23 to US-23 (Standish) Now you could follow US 23 all the way t o F41, which will take you through Omer, AuGres, Tawas, East Tawas and through Oscoda ( with short construction detour) to F-41.
Now...
Possibly the most amazing display you can imagine deployed out of a single M105 trailer. Not only is the display excellent but an education about the use of everything they have is free for the asking.
I don't know how many Military Motorcycles will be on display, but the ones that have said...
There is almost always a wrecker or crane at the shows in Michigan.
I know a couple Dave's with wreckers & a couple Dave's with Hiab's
Will one of them show up with one of them? Haven't heard a word.
Sure hope so! Loading and transfering goods is always interesting!
I was not successful in obtaining a corporate sponsor to fund the transportation of the 31,000 lb shop trailer, or any other unique vehicle for that matter.
Heard from the Military Surplus Store in Houghton Lake today, they will be at the show as a vendor.
 No wonder I'm so broke,
Seriously, the $10, $15 & $20 dollar ones aren't too bad, a couple of the others are a bit pricey, at least they are at different times of the year.
Waiting for the new WAM web site to link to.
And now!, Back to the show.
Here's our airport...
Chuck, if you have a vcr, I have the movie on tape.
The show is just barely over a month away now, & I still have two trucks to get out of storage and repair :oops: ah........ I can sleep next year.
Reminder: Awards will be given in the Military Motorcycle catagory.
Here's a pic of...
That's his plane in the background in last years pic. (post #26)
and a B17G, and, and..........................
Huey
An MT500 would be cool to see also
