    Noob 12v alt. Question

    Any attempt to isolate the grounds would not only make you TONS of extra work, it would be of no benefit. The ONLY bennefit for ground isolation, that I can think of anyway, is if you need 36V for something. Otherwise a waste of a bunch of copper and time. Un-grounding a std. alternator = PIA
