The tire shop balanced them using a spin-balancer that was bolted to the floor with 8 each, 1" bolts. They told me that they didn't spin at 80 until they had weights on the wheel, then they wound it up to 80 MPH to be sure that the balance was correct. It cost $ 35 per wheel, but it was worth it...
I took the 11 x 20 front tires/wheels from my M135 to a truck tire center years ago - they spin balanced them to 80 MPH. I added some SG OD paint. The end result was smooth running, and I could cruise easily (and comfortably) at 60 MPH.
