Haha well i didnt mean home made like backyard, i meant in their eyes, not factory installed. Doesnt your deuce weigh 13,000lbs empty though?
State farm was cheap but USAA is far cheaper for me. My wife and I have a 2012 passat TDI, 2009 Touareg, 2001 Silverado/Duramax, all full coverage...
Very strange, it must be a state to state thing then. In DE, progressive will not insure military vehicles, but state farm and Geico will. Fortunately I dont have any other large commercial vehicles to personally insure to worry about. What would make a drilling rig more dangerous? Because it...
Hmm i had a full state farm commercial policy, 50/100 they insured mine anyway, had pictures and all submitted. Progressive DOES NOT insure military vehicles, i would call and ask them again, i asked them specifically on 3 different calls (because they are USAAs commercial insurance department)...
I would like to update that State Farm is awful. Despite me having it in writing and explaining to them that is was registered in MD, they wrote the policy in DE (where my other cars are registered). I didnt know this until the MVA sent me a letter about suspended tags and racked up a $1300...
It makes a huge difference i you carry other polocies with the people you are trying to get a commercial policy through. USAA doesnt offer any discounts through progressive so you are just as well going with anyone else.
They did ask me if i had seats in it, i told them no. i also submited pictures of it from every angle with all the info they could ever need. They forwarded it all to the underwriter and it was approved so i am sure i am ok. i could see them not wanting people riding in the back but arent your...

i wanted to update that i triple checked with USAA insuring my deuce. I had it insured with full coverage, 50k/100k, and i explained to them what it is and it was insured for $28 a month. My dad got in a horrible car accident last month so i decided i would check with them again after seeing how...
called a half dozen insurance companies, progressive was almost $120 a month for a commercial policy, Geico was the cheapest at $50 a month. Although having it on my USAA (which i know isnt a commercial policy) is only $23. I have it on there now so its insured until i finish everything i want...
well the first time I called them I gave them a little too much info and told them I would need commercial insurance. the next time I called I only answered their questions. they didn't want pictures they didn't ask me the weight or number of axles. in DE any vehicle 25 years or older can be...
