Find the NSN in the TM. Post it on this site - someone here likely has FedLog access and could PM you the manufacturer's name, and part number.

Most of these trucks were sent to Europe during the height of the cold war (some to Korea) - so my inclination would be to check with the various large European parts vendors (commercial-oriented) for these.

I failed to finish my earlier thought - CRS setting in perhaps - to finish now - I'd consider trying to find a single NOS ball joint - and compare its "feel" to the feel of yours - strange as it may seem, your joints COULD be performing as intended.

I'd be REAL reluctant to start drilling holes and reengineering the joints and vehicle without any more data. In fact, my inclinition would be to reassemble the vehicle and take it for a CAREFUL test ride.....a few passes over even mild off-road conditions (a plowed field, for example) will...
