    Ok, thanks. I guess I could just make my own label or whatever. I found a replacement knob on one of those strange and taboo places on the internet where people sell their stuff to other people for eight bucks so I think I will go with that.

    Does the original shift knob have the pattern on it? My trucks PO put a chrome skull on the stick and it needs to be retired from service (dis-honorably) but I want to be able to see what the status of the transfer case is with whatever I replace it with.

    Oh - that is what mine has...... I thought it was supposed to have something that shows you what state the t-case is in? ie: 2H 4H N 4L Like the photo below.

    I have an 86 M1031 and it has no trim etc around the transfer case controller with the gear status indicator etc. I have been looking but there seem to be quite a few possibilities for this. Does anyone have a photo of this or have a 1031 that they would be willing to take a photo of the floor...
