There have been quite a number on loan to VFW's but most if not all are still US Govenment property. There are fewer owned by individuals, I had paperwork from the Secretary of the Army giving up all rights to my vehicle with it's serial number listed.
I've seen 2 for sale in the last 10-12 years, mine was the best at the time but who knows now. The 900 cu.in. supercharged 500 HP gasoline engine is VERY thirsty! About 1 mpg at cruise. :shock: At 10.5' wide and at 50,000 lbs. it's a pain to move.
Not quite as cramped as you might think but you do have to feed the hungry beasts at 4 rounds a second, they are thirsty. You need 2 people to move and load a 4 round clip into each gun every 2 seconds. Hence they often ringed the basket with them. The gunner and the operator of the computer...
