    Bed box? Jeff etc, hadn't noticed this before, but just saw this in a GL pic. Chequer plate box behind crane. Is this fixed (purpose?) or is this something just dropped there.. ..... Any ideas? Would be a nice addition for the 816. ;-) EDIT: found another pic on GL. I guess it covers...

    Oz Spare tyres n trailers I'm still researching Oz wreckers, but I'd assume that the trailers were "upgraded" along with the trucks (from the 60's multi to the 70's 816), probably the same manufacturer but not sure. As far as the "M" number, that is not an American trailer (I don't think) so...

    For airfied recoveries (aircraft) I think it was the M127. Narrow 5th wheel, step deck. (The M816 had a Freuhoff tandem-duel, tilt bed pintle trailer when used by the Australian Army.)

    It pays to look twice.. I looked closer at your pic #2, comments in margin.... Not convinced that the chain is for the welding bottles, it works fine for holding the open the locker lid, but I only have one on the same side as Jeff! Jeffs truck light bar (goal post frame) only uses 2...

    Ah - in lieu of the gun ring supports that my beacon uses now. Thanks. Now, any ideas on the mud flap adjacent brackets.

    Noticed/found some holes/brackets and wondered if anyone knew what they might have been for... Bracket aft of the rear mudflap (metal part) on the underside of the body - would work for full height rubber flaps if there weren't the two piece ones. 5 holes per side in the bulkhead...
