    Start to clean up the one side as well... The serial # showed up as well LU-4 R 5116156 so this is an 1951 model... Also four new bolts was installed...

    Here is the clutch side housing... If you see the pic the surface where the steel spacer goes (at the center) is a bit mishaped like to have it pressed down... I have no idea what might happen... Jim

    Never seen one w/o the Braden Winch logo... Yes it is missing the brake completely... You can add it if you want as all parts are available... But the winch mounts are later units (smaller part#)... I post your pic here for future reference... Jim

    Thank you all for your help guys :beer: I didnt know that NOS seals will leak! I have clean the handle area but I cant see an pin or something here... @Gringeltaube thank you for the spreader bar dimensions I will make one. Also if you can send me more details from the clutch housing to drum...

    Hello guys, I have an Braden LU4 winch that I would like to rebuild... I am trying to find out where I can get some seals for it and the spreader bar ??? Also is there any trick to how to remove the brake lever-handle from its shaft ???
