Also, it's correct weight would be closer to 51 tons normal load, they are 93,000 lbs dry net weight,(M60A1 would be 53 tons).
It is an M60, not a M48 and not a M60A1. I spent time in all three many years ago.
When you climb down in there Frodo, the nomenclature plate should be in the upper left corner , front of the hull, of the drivers compartment.

As a rule, most, not all, better than Google pics can be obtained on Bing Maps. I like the 360 look they have and the images appear to be at least 18 months fresher of known to me sites.
Did you take pics of the interior? I see it is all opened up, The TC's cupola and loaders hatch, even the drivers hatch is open. With the gun to the rear you can climb right down into the drivers seat. The M60 should have the "go-cart" steering control instead of the T-bar steering control...
