I posted my experience on some other forums and SURPRISE, SURPRISE... ITS has developed quite a fan club - most of whom would like to find dear JOE and give him a good old fashion blanket party.
Correct. No VIN check needed - so long as you have a bill of sale that reflects the VIN. You can always send them a copy and keep the original.
Glad to hear you aren't out too much $$
That joker STILL hasn't delivered?
Spend the extra $$$ - go direct to VT DMV, get your plates and registration - THEN - if and when ITS delivers, you send that crap back to VT for a refund.
Your only loss? Whatever $$$ ITS has charged over and above what VT has charged.
Well, that will be...
Hello!
I left it blank. If you have ANY questions - do not hesitate to call VT DMV and ask the friendly customer service folks for help. They are super!
UPDATE - after dragging my feet for several months - I finally went to the WV DMV to apply for my title. The local (Martinsburg) office had...
BEWARE
It looks like ITS has a new business front and game face to be wary of:
Sales Tax Exemption: Avoid Vehicle Sales Tax Legally with Open Road International
Thanks to melon for tipping us off!
THREATEN HIS A$$ AND DEMAND A REFUND!!!
He offered me a refund ONCE and I bought into his bait and switch - giving him "two more weeks" to get it resolved. Shame on ME for buynig his LIES.
Tell that POS that you are seeking resolution through the VT and NV States Attorney Offices and that you...
No sir, not yet. So many other things have kept me busy, and I've been offline for a couple weeks because of work and life in general. I'll hit the WV DMV (hopefully soon) and report back here with the results. I kinda like the green VT plate. It blends nicely with the camo. What I hope to do in...
It is good to have options and not be limited to one solution.
Do you have any details about how these folks do business? Do you receive a title with their service and if so, what State?
No requirement for VERMONT drivers license. I used all of my WV information with NO issues or questions from VT.
I called the customer support line and they walked me through the entire process. I have yet to try to obtain title and registration from my home state, but will be doing so as soon...
** REFUND **
Got a refund check yesterday from VT DMV for $331.00
I was originally advised that my refund would only be $271.00 - so I'm not sure where the extra $70.00 came from - but I'll take it!
This brings my net loss on the International Title Scam to $154.00
Still no contact with ITS...
Got an unexpected refund check in the mail today from VT DMV for the overage I paid on MY application. My calculation using their fee chart was $381
This refund lowers my total cost to register my M35A2 in Vermont for one year - with plates - $350
I also received the formal VT registration and...
Here is the next chapter of the title saga...
Finally got time to call VT DMV today. Spoke with a nice man named "Steve". Told him EVERYTHING that has transpired:
- Gave him both plate numbers
- He pulled up each record summary, printed them off so he could see the discrepancies
- He...
Based upon the summary from battlebuggy, I couldn't possibly have anything intelligent to add.
WV wants vehicles to be "properly registered" in 30 days. I doubt the laws here were written with this scenario in mind. I've seen taxi's and such with two different State tags on them so I presume...
I tried to call VT DMV today but could never catch a break at work to have enough time to answer all the questions I am betting they will have.
I have made arrangements to ensure I have sufficient time tomorrow.
I can't wait... aua
I did the same thing that ITS did - but for about $150 less. Well, I'm still in the HOLE for the $485 I sent to ITS to wait six + months...
I went on the VT DMV website and downloaded the application, filled it out, called VT DMV customer service, asked questions, sent in my $$ and a week...
NO TITLE with either package
A topic I will inquire about with the VT DMV tomorrow
I see this playing out one of several ways...
1. I lose $$$
2. I have to spend MORE $$$
3. I lose AND have to spend more $$$
Maybe I am wrong. I hope so.
