Speaking of 809 , where can i find definete information about the model years. I just saw a 1988 (whaaaaa???) M813A1.
someone said something about models being still produced after the model ended. I can see that happening for a year maybe . But 6 years?
Oh yeah i remember seeing brakes like that on mud trucks. I think they do that as the wheel brakes usually are wet and full of dirt. That sounds like a great option. I gotta google that.
What do you mean when you say rebuilt?
I have seem some trucks that had the year 1985... or even a 1988 m813a1. Did AM General really build these trucks for that long? I thought it was 1982 when production stopped.
Are you saying that 1982 trucks were taken, rebuild and then used a a 1988?
thx
I was looking at the M809 serie and Wiki tells me that they were build until 1982 then the new 5 ton M939 came on. When I googled them I saw some as high as 1985.
So I am wondering until what year has the M809 series been build?

I know downshifting through the gears will slow down, but then?
How do you stop without hitting something if you need to stop faster? And find out the brakes won't slow you?
