    That's true. No problem. He can just install it, if I decide to go that way, on the other side of the meter. He has access to cabling on both ends of the meter. Thanks.

    My main breaker panel is upstairs on the second floor. I can't run wire up there from a generator. I have to have an electrician do an install on the street side of the meter, if it is code permissible, where the underground cable runs to the house.
