Nice pic of your nuts, simp.

Airbrake hand controller 'Trolley valve' install assistance needed.

I can. If they push the “Spring Brake Override”, then lost air, she’s a runaway train. Rare situation to happen though. It is scary how many people don’t understand what that dash valve does on the M939xx’s. Would be better if not there, or labeled “Spring Emergency/Parking Brake Disable”...

Because they are not DOT approved.

Airbrake hand controller 'Trolley valve' install assistance needed.

It is not DOT approved. There is no such thing. The maker of the fitting is indicating it to meet DOT requirements, which it likely does. Crops of them out of China which also say the same, and may not really have the paperwork for traceability of such.

OK, got it. To do it same as all the road tractors, you use what is called a "double check valve". The key point of this is as stated in its literature, it always allows pressure to drain in reverse flow, from either source used (not simultaneously). So, I really would not call it a check...

Airbrake hand controller 'Trolley valve' install assistance needed.

You're fine. I just want to wrap my head around the signal drain part. Your installation aligns with what Wiki says mostly so far, if you were to also add a check valve on the signal line from the hand valve, but it still does not explain how the heck it vents when either is moved to off. I...

Airbrake hand controller 'Trolley valve' install assistance needed.

Only partial explanation so far below. "2 two-way check valves" and signal venting is what I need to better comprehend. That would be a check valve on each trailer service signal input line, but how does it vent upon release? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relay_valve Service brake relay...

10-4. I’m starting from ground zero to better understand how all of this works, something I have been wanting to do anyway. I’m ready to add this once I fully understand it. Good point on the front brake actuation when winching. I have wanted that more than once. We tested a brand new KW...

Airbrake hand controller 'Trolley valve' install assistance needed.

Why is the trolley valve not venting air when the foot brake is used? I get the pressure application part of all of it. But, you need to bleed pressure off the trailer service line in order to release trailer brakes. How is that accomplished in each case, once this hand valve and check valve...

Airbrake hand controller 'Trolley valve' install assistance needed.

How does it dump trailer service line pressure when the hand valve is released, but does not also dump service line pressure when the foot pedal is used?

Vid is good, thanks. I have one question: If hand trolley valve has exhaust port to bleed down pressure on brake service line when handle is up or in full off position, what would keep air pressure from going up through the hand valve exhaust when the regular foot valve is used? I get that...
