    This is my method. Thin layer of RTV, then the gasket, then another thin layer of RTV. I have used this method for years and have never had much of an issue.

    Are you referring to the GEP 6500 Optimizer and the GEP P400 motors, I thought those were Navistar branded castings. Aren't those pretty good motors? Didn't mean to highjack the thread but I had to ask.
