    J30R9 is good. It has a Viton tube with chlorinated polyethylene cover. The R10 hose has a Viton cover. CPE is often used for electrical wire insulation and has good durability under hood.

    If you use the SAE J30R10 hose it will outlast the steel lines in both corrosion and wear.

    These hoses see 5-10 psi. It will hold with a clamp on the tube but if you want a barb you can flare the tube and use one of these. https://www.mcmaster.com/5346K77 I do not recommend worm drive clamps for small diameters. Use a pinch clamp. They're inexpensive and so is the install tool...
