    M1008 quick starting causes starter to grind - is this normal?

    The 6.2 in my 1986 M998 starts nearly instantly also. As in, you just hit the switch and immediately release and it's running. Not exactly the same, but close. The 8.3 in my M936A2 is the same. Just bump the switch and it starts, probably the first time any of the 6 pistons comes up on...
