This is better than Ted and Bills Excellent Adventure. I can not wait to see this truck when it is complete it is already up in the top notch zone in my book you are doing better as I said before than the depot rebuilds I have seen.
Damon:
I have said it before your work equals or exceeds the depot rebuilts that the Army pays big bucks for. I am very glad to see one of these great trucks here on the site. Your five ton rocked too is the guy that bought it keeping it in great shape and is he a member here?
I hope you...
Damon:
As always, Wow. That is looking great. These are the trucks the Army should have bought more of and less of the MTV's. Yours will be the envy of every HEMTT driver in the Army.
You might want to keep a set of earmuff headphones for running the crane the damage to your ears is not...
I know I would be ashamed if the cars were just left somewhere. When I was a kid and just driving we are talking in the late 60's so there were a lot of junk cars that got left out near our farm. City folks I always reckoned, but they were usually stripped an just hulks.
That out of the way...
DMA you are doing an awesome job much better than some of the rebuilds I have seen in the Army shops. I think you should go to AMC headquarters at Fort Belvoir with your entire portfolio and show them how to do it right. Thanks for the updates they are great to view.
I know I really liked...
The latest night vision veiwer is a combination unit using the latest gen IV intensifer and an IR veiwer and combines the veiw for the Soldier it is an awesome unit but don't expect to get one with out a lot of money and that will be a civilized version not quite as good in my mind.
Way To go this just keeps getting better. I am with ADR keep the picks of the kahoonas private....
I really like the powder coat very good way to protect it. I agree on the saving bucks advice my 98 Burb is doing fine and paid for.
You picked up a DVE what a great find you will love the view...
I hope we get an update on this project soon it is one of my favorites. I was talking to one of the mechanics the other day and asked if he had a HEMMT Wrecker and he said Oh man I wish, I only have an MTV one. The HEMMT may be the truck that won the first gulf war like the CKWW was the one...
Keep the pictures coming! Is that the shop you built at home with the forklift in it? If you can post some picts of the garage you built I may be doing the same when I get home, Thanks
Damon:
I abolutely loved your posts on your previous 5 ton and this post tops those great shots. Your old truck was one for the shows too did a Steel Soldiers guy get it?
I love the HEMTT the support the whole family of vehicles provides to the Army is a testament to the Oshkosh Corporation...
