Hooked up the batteries to my M1008 and checked tire pressures after sitting for 6+ months...took it to the dump with a load of tree limbs...drove like a scalded dog!
Replaced the right front tire. My 2 year old MTR hit something while backing up. Cracked the side wall. Man getting those PVC inserts out of the old tire is a b*tch! Ended up cutting the sidewall to pull it out.
Some of the Security Police at Manzano Base used to slam the rubber ducky antenna on their walkies in a car door and stretch them out to long wires.......
These were the same guys who were guarding the military nuclear cache...
Spent the last week changing tires (HMMWV) 12 bolt wheels om my M1008...PITA! Bought some MTRs on eBay with 95% tread. Couldnt find anyone locally to change them so Ive been tasked myself. PVC inserts were a treat, finally used a floor jack and warped them into an oval to get them in the...
My truck left me stranded at Home Depot. Got the dreaded clunk on the starter relay but no starter...figured the original starter gave up. After a tow home ordered a new starter...for grins I crawled underneath and looked at the old one...lo and behold noticed one of the long starter casing...
Well Stinky (as my wife calls it) had been sitting for two months. Went out figuring Id have to jump it to start. Cranked about 15 sec and fired right up! Stinky never ceases to amaze me!
