My m1152 isn't the same as yours. I have an REV with the NP2225 water cooled transfer case. Are you able to get your cell phone up there and take a clear pic of the hole and surrounding case?

3.08 gear ratio in diffs the speedo gear color matches the number of teeth, so there is only one color for a given number. I have no clue what the number is. The part number given in the -387-24p manula should be correct. I would look and see if that is in your t/c before you order anything.

Wouldn't your tires be too short? You want the HMMWV to be moving faster than what it is now , to match the speedo... The elbow is attached to a piece stuck in the transfer case. That piece is held in place with a half circle clip and one bolt. That is the piece that needs to be clocked in...
